Casting guilt onto those who already feel bad is unconscionable.Sydhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05642843245634635843noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7696627088548181997.post-90064322493956161812010-06-27T10:09:35.051-07:002010-06-27T10:09:35.051-07:00Sounds like the person who invented this slogan bl...Sounds like the person who invented this slogan blames his/her upbringing for his/her own addiction.Bristolvolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06176684422419228152noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7696627088548181997.post-62704958963871663122010-06-27T10:06:45.884-07:002010-06-27T10:06:45.884-07:00This comment has been removed by the author.Bristolvolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06176684422419228152noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7696627088548181997.post-36035817452619034432010-06-27T06:25:29.449-07:002010-06-27T06:25:29.449-07:00Someone once told me that all it takes is one toke...Someone once told me that all it takes is one toke or one sip of alcohol to hook an addict. An addict is an addict no matter how they have been raised.
That advertisement is guilt-mongering and uninformed.
My daughter's unstable personality coupled with anxiety made alcohol very attractive, from the first sip, I am sure. And, she was raised in a alcohol-free environment.
krisKristinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17383541747197866087noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7696627088548181997.post-12221330358048698932010-06-27T05:45:23.049-07:002010-06-27T05:45:23.049-07:00Tom, if you are trolling, please get that totally ...Tom, if you are trolling, please get that totally offensive ad OFF your site.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03699870975776139552noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7696627088548181997.post-90130452723911031812010-06-26T23:27:16.659-07:002010-06-26T23:27:16.659-07:00So true, Anna. I, too, was very involved in my daughter's life - at least, during her formative years. I was sooo deliberate and intentional in raising her. I am still haunted by the question, "When did it all go so wrong for Hayley?" That simplistic statement is naive and yes, offensive.
