No Answer

The last phone call I got for money was on Sunday. She called on Monday to say that she was going to get her brakes fixed. I said that would be fine as I was just hanging out at home. She would need me to write a check from her account to cover the brakes. She never called but I did see that she withdrew her normal amount from her savings only account.

I texted her this morning to see if she would drive down to the methodone clinic just to look around and find out how it works. There has been no answer. Her phone goes directly to voice mail.

I appreciated your concern and prayers pertaining to my last text. I have done all of those things that you suggested whith much hope but no good results. My daughter could be in rehab by tommorrow morning and she knows it. She hates they way she feels when she is sober.

  1. How long has she been in rehab before? I have spoken with so many addicts and when they got and stayed sober it was because of long term inpatient rehab. My son tells me the same thing, he will get sober and then it can be a couple of days of a few weeks he ends up going back. He doesn't like how he feels sober and can't seem to be without his friends. My heart aches for you and your daughter. Continued prayers for your family.

  2. I am so sorry Anna. Is there a medical psychiatric condition that could be treated with Beth, such as bipolar, depression? Sadly though, she would have to accept treatment, take the meds, etc. I just hope that she will want to quit.

  3. Hating the way you feel sober is so sad...I am praying fiercely for Beth. I also think maybe Syd is right...maybe she hates being sober because she self medicates to deal with another mental health issue like bi-polar, depression, anxiety or a combination of any of those.

  4. ((ANNA)) I am so sorry. It is so hard to wait it out when our kids are so stuck in their diseases. I don't even know if waiting it out is the right thing anymore. I am praying for you that you have clear direction on what *your* next step should be and that you feel peace and comfort that surpasses all understanding!

  5. Beth was born with bipolar disorder. She lives in pain from a sports injury which blew out her knees. She has PTSD from being gang raped.

She has been treated for many years for the psychiatric conditions. It helps but does not cure. The street drugs bring instant relief but long term distruction.
