Will You Find a Good Home For Max IF I DIE?

A friend of Beth told me today that she asked him to find her cat a good home if she dies. She keeps calling me to say that she is going to do one thing or the other and will call me right back. Then I hear nothing for a few days.

She always needs money and I do not give it to her. She is in very bad shape now. Her arms and neck look good but her legs and feet are full of needle marks. It also looks like her car has been loaned out to drug dealers. It is falling apart.

God, please give us the strength to bear what we must.

  6. I am so sorry you are going through this. There are no words to express what I want to write. I am praying for you and your daughter, she is obviously in so much pain and as a Parent our pain is magnified.

  7. I don't know where you live, but can you contact a lawyer about involuntary commitment? You can do that under certain circumstances.

I do not believe in waiting for someone to come to their senses. They will not do that after a point in the addiction. It depends on the state you live it, I know it is not always possible.

Know that you are in my heart, and I also love Victor Frankl.

  8. Oh, Anna, what a difficult burden you bear! I am glad you are sticking to your guns about when you give her money. I am so sorry she has slid down this path. Have you contacted Teen Challenge? I just finished reading the founder's book "The Cross and the Switchblade", and was so moved by the story of this organization. Just a thought. Prayers for you and Beth! Congrats on the puppy, we just got a new dog too. A good distraction and source of humor.

  9. I am so sorry to hear about this. I am in the same boat basically with my daughter. But, I have not heard from her in 6 or 7 weeks. The pictures on her facebook are very disturbing. And I am getting tired of repeating to myself, God only gives you what you can handle. I feel your pain and continue to keep our kids in my thoughts and prayers. Hugs, Kelly
